Arinori Inagawa

Arinori Inagawa - Japan
Arinori Inagawa was born in Kanagawa / Japan. He took tremolo harmonica lessons with Hisayasu Nomura and Zen-ichi Ohba and also studied chromatic harmonica under Yasuo Watani. He has won first prizes in both chromatic harmonica and tremolo harmonica in numerous national and international competitions, including first prizes for chromatic in the F.I.H. Japan Harmonica Contest (2002) and the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival (APHF) (2002 in youth, 2006), first prizes for tremolo in the F.I.H. Japan Harmonica Competition (2001, 2002) and APHF (2000, 2002 both in youth). In 2002, he became the youngest grand prix winner by winning the solo championships for both chromatic and tremolo at the F.I.H. Japan Harmonica Contest. In 2005, he won first prize both in tremolo harmonica and chromatic harmonica junior categories at the 6th World Harmonica Festival. In 2009, he won the first price in chromatic harmonica with test piece category at the 7th World Harmonica Festival, which is recognized as the most difficult category in the world.
In 2006, Arinori Inagawa appeared with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Ken-iciro Kobayashi and the performance was broadcast by NHK. He is now active as a soloist with orchestras, choir ensembles etc. in various part of Japan. He is currently majoring in chemistry at the Graduate School of Tokyo Institute of Technology.

The 6th Asia Pacific harmonica festival just finished on 6th of August 2006.This is the Chromatic Champion open category video took from the final competitions.His name is Inagawa Arinori from Japan.The title of his song is "Pictures of a woman". This piece is composed by grest harmonica legend Pete Peterson.
