The Virtual Harmonica Band A virtual group of nine harmonica players brings back the sound of the Big Band Harmonica groups with music of the great arrangers/composers of the past while also presenting contemporary arranger’s works. This group features seasoned harmonica players from the USA and Germany. Made up of five Chromatics, one Polyphonia, two Basses and one Chord Harmonica. This group is unique in that all were individual parts were recorded by each player in a different state and country without the benefit of any players being together. Each part for each song was recorded, videoed and compiled. The harmonica arrangements are all from famous harmonica players or musicians such as Joe Mullendore, Joe Jass, Dave Doucette, Steve Watne and David Bugli. All expertly executed by Tom Stryker, Chris Bauer, Mike Runyan, Winslow Yerxa, Susan Sauter, Steve Watne, George Miklas, Bill Morris and Alex “A.J.” Windmeyer. This group was brought together by Tom Stryker, with Steve Watne compiling the recordings, and Mike Runyan the videos. Great credit is given to the players in the group that unselfishly gave of their time and talents. Most of this group also performs in-person at SPAH Annual Conventions. Be there and look for us.
