洪紹桓 Hung Shao-Huan - Taiwan (1)
Born
in Taichung, Taiwan, Shao-Huan studied Traditional Chinese Music at the Tainan
National University of Art, graduating in
2014. In 2016, he became the first musician in the world to use the traditional
Chinese instrument, Sheng (笙) as the main instrument to study Jazz music in
Europe.
Shao-Huan has performed at numerous festivals
including the Vancouver Chinese Music Festival (2014), the Vancouver
Contemporary Music Festival (2016), and the Bamboo Music Festival, in Bandong,
Indonesia (2016). He has also embarked on an international tours with the Da
Chung Chinese Orchestra to Australia in 2011, and to Guatemala, Honduras,
Columbia, and Peru, as a Taiwan Youth Ambassador in 2014. Having reached the Third Stage of the 2007 China CCTV
Instrument Competition in Beijing, over the past decade, Shao-Huan has also
held numerous personal recitals across the globe, becoming the Taiwan Music
Competition of Chinese Music Students Champion (Sheng), in 2011.
