History of Hotchas: Started in early 1930's as eight-piece band with Max Geldray, became quintet 1936 and the name Hotcha's originally come from Borrah Minevitch. He took it from a popular song of 1936 - "Mama  I wanna make rhyrhm, I wanna get hotcha". - During War-years the quintet Hotcha's performed in Berlin. Hotcha Trio commenced 1950. In 1957 Borrah Minevitch asked Geert van Driesten (bass) to join Rascals during Tour of France.
